Hello, I’m Kevin DeVries, an Extreme Explorer and the Founder of TRUE SUMMIT LLC - Where Well People Perform Well.

So here’s the thing…

I’m not the greatest explorer that ever lived.

I have not summited Mt. Everest.

I hold no world records.

There are no mountains named after me.

After a lifetime of exploration in the land of the living (and the dead), I’m not here to impress you with my success.

I’m here to make an impact through my successful failures.

Success tells us what we can do.

Failure teaches us who we are.

And I have failed.

A lot.

But I never lost because I never stopped learning.

And here’s what I’ve learned…

You don’t have to climb Everest to climb Everest.

You’ve already climbed Everest if you’ve climbed it within.

The greatest achievement is not a summit.

The greatest achievement is any space where heightened Awareness, Belief, and Connection lead to well-being.

You can’t find that space on any map.

It only exists at a higher level of human consciousness.

It’s a space we call THE TRUE SUMMIT.

In this space, the greatest discoveries are what we find while we’re searching for something else.

These epiphanies intersect achievements and awareness, so we intuitively perform well because we are well.

Here are some discoveries I spent a lifetime collecting that finally connected to help you on your journey toward well-being…

I climbed five of the seven continental summits to know the only mountains we conquered were ourselves, and to be well, we can climb high, but we must camp low in community with each other because nothing heals in thin air.

I skied to the North Pole to realize the journey was the destination because time is nothing and the moment is everything where all the meridians of our lives connect.

I created, scaled, and sold companies to understand we can only offer what doesn’t own us.

I lived on a golf course with a million net worth to recognize the poverty of wealth can make us so poor all we have is money.

I survived bankruptcy and two divorces to learn you only lose when you never learn that life happens for you, not to you.

I searched for the greatest treasures in the world to discover we externalize through adventure, whatever we can’t internalize through awareness.

I lived out of a vehicle for five years from untreated trauma to see we’re all homeless until we’re healed to walk each other home.

I straddled two dimensions in a near-death, out-of-body experience with no heartbeat for 15 minutes from a cardiac arrest to know everyone dies, but not everyone really lives because our only opportunity to do good is right now.

I climbed the Everest Region to reveal that every one of us is strong enough to climb higher than false summits in our award-winning documentary, THE TRUE SUMMIT.

I started a storytelling movement to reframe people’s stories worldwide through live and online events and in a documentary of my riches-to-rags-to-redemption story to comprehend finally…

It’s never been about me.

It’s about us.

Like any extreme expedition…

We journey together, or we die alone.

You can make a successful living alone.

But it takes all of us working together to live a significant life.

I was sent back from the dead to wake those who live.

The time of shattered stories and wounded wastelands must end.

The echoes of our past are summoning us to a future without fear.

We’re not criminals and prisoners of our past.

We’re climbers and patients of our present future.

Life is about who we want to become, more than what’s been done to us.

Pain empowers us to feel so we can heal.

Sometimes, we must crawl down to the lowest cave to become well enough to climb the highest mountain.

Joseph Campbell said, “The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.”

Enter that cave, reclaim your well-being, and return home to your true self as one who has conquered the mountains within.

Because here’s the thing…

If you don’t know who you are, you’ll always be defined by what you do.

Know yourself so well that you work well.

This is where you find your WHY.
